Attention now turns to the next TakeOver event which takes place on October 7, and a huge main event was announced on the NXT tapings.
The stars of NXT were back at Full Sail University on Thursday to tape three episodes of NXT. The three shows will air weekly, starting from September 16 to September 30.
The NXT format sees the talent tape around three or four shows in one night, before they are rolled out to air on a weekly basis. If you wish to avoid the spoilers for the episode that will air on September 16, please turn back now.

It’s Tyler Breeze and Adam Rose who kick off the episode, but it’s Bull Dempsey who steals the spotlight. Dempsey wants to fight and challenges Breeze to a match. Instead, he attacks Rose and it gives Breeze enough time to escape.
Dempsey has gone through a drastic character change. He went from a monster who bulldozed through the opposition, to a fan favourite under a more comedic gimmick. It’s clear he can adapt, so here’s hoping he can be written into a good story so the fans continue supporting him and his ‘Bullfit’ gimmick.
DUSTY RHODES CLASSIC
Tye Dillinger continues to impress on NXT under his new gimmick, by defeating one of the enhancement talents.
The always-impressive Apollo Crews picks up a big win on NXT, defeating Solomon Crowe by hitting his standing moonsault for the win.
It’s being reported that the NXT fans were well into Crews and the match itself. With this support he’s definitely destined for big things.
The Dusty Rhodes tag team classic continues with the odd pairing of Rhyno and Baron Corbin taking on independent talents Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.
It would have been fantastic for Gargano and Ciampa to make it to the final if they ever did sign with the WWE; but it was Corbin who picked up the win by hitting the End of Days Gargano.
IRONWOMAN MATCH AT TAKEOVER
In the final match of the evening, NXT Women’s Champion Bayley defeats Sarah Dobson.
However, it’s the segment that followed which has sent fans into overdrive on social media. After the match Sasha Banks cut a promo and announced that she’s getting her championship rematch at the next TakeOver event in October.
It doesn’t end there though, their match will be the main event match in a 30 minute Ironwoman match.
A lot of pressure is on their shoulders now for the main event, but if there are two women you can count on to deliver, it’s Banks and Bayley.
