Stuttgart back to winning ways

Football News
Reigning champions Stuttgart took their first steps out of their doldrums after posting a scrappy 1-0 victory at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

After being thrashed by Hamburg last time out and having suffered a home defeat to Lyon in the Champions League in midweek, Stuttgart displayed their battling qualities to record their first win since September thanks to Andreas Beck´s 72nd-minute goal.

After dropping to 14th place last weekend, Armin Veh´s troops are now 12th in the table on 13 points, just five shy of the European places.
