Torum leaves Rosenborg post

Football News
Rosenborg have parted company with coach Knut Torum, the club confirmed on Thursday.

Torum was named interim coach in the summer of 2006 following the departure of Per-Mathias Hogmo, before being handed the role on a full-time basis after leading the Trondheim club to the Tippeligaen title.

However, this season has not gone to plan and Rosenborg sit sixth in the Norwegian standings - 16 points behind leaders Brann - with two rounds remaining. Torum´s farewell appearance was an impressive 2-0 win over Valencia in the Champions League on Wednesday, but it was not enough to save his job.
