Novak Djokovic added another Grand Slam title to his CV at the weekend, beating the legendary Roger Federer in the final of the US Open. The Serbian did the business in four sets at Flushing Meadows - he’s now won 27 of 28 Grand Slam matches this year. Across to boxing, Floyd Mayweather remains resolute on his stance that he will retire having equalled Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 record. Mayweather beat Andre Berto comfortably at the weekend, and many want to see him in one last bout, perhaps a rematch against Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather, though, said he had had no plans to continue. Mo Farah retained his Great North Run title this weekend, clocking an impressive time of 59 minutes and 22 seconds. Fresh from winning the 5,000 and 10,000m titles at the Beijing World Championships recently, Farah out-sprinted Stanley Biwott for the victory. Lastly in UFC Miesha Tate has revealed her disappointment at missing out on a third fight with Ronda Rousey.
