With a cloud of uncertainty continuing to hover of Cleveland Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving's injury return, fans of the Ohio franchise have been handed a boost by another star who missed time late on last season.

Having been forced out of the Cavs' playoff push back in mid-April with a shoulder injury picked up against the Boston Celtics, Kevin Love has now revealed his timeline for recovery.

Love, speaking on 'Late Night with Seth Myers', said he is "probably about a month, [a] month and a half away."

“I feel great,” explained the three-time All-Star. “I actually spent three weeks in Park City, Utah at the Olympic training facility there, rehabbed my shoulder, got in great shape and I feel great.

"I’m probably about a month, month and a half away. I don’t want to set an immediate deadline now, but I really feel good.”

Love's timeline would put him on track to feature from the outset as the Cleveland Cavaliers begin their 2015-16 NBA season - the 2015 Finals runners-up traveling to Chicago to take on the Bulls on October 27th.

His return would certainly be a boost for the franchise, considering Irving's shaky status. The latest on the talented point guard is that he will back before the January date previously reported, but even the most optimistic fans know he won't be seeing much action before the holiday period.

As for Kevin Love, the 27-year-old will still need to convince the Cavaliers coaching staff that he is up to speed before he is given the all-clear to take the hardwood.

Reuniting LeBron James with Love and Irving sooner rather than later would certainly send out a message to the franchise's Eastern Conference rivals.
