Charlie Adam has established himself as a big-game player for Rangers this season - and now he is determined to be involved in the biggest of them all when Barcelona come to town.

An unexpected name on Walter Smith´s teamsheet, Adam bagged what could be one of the goals of the competition against the Bundesliga champions Stuttgart before earning a surprise start against Celtic in the first Old Firm derby of the season at the weekend.

"It´s great to have the confidence of the manager and to play in the big games," he said after the 3-0 win at Ibrox. "Of course I´d love to play against Barcelona. They are quality and have world-class players. It will be some game for every person at Ibrox and we are looking forward to it. It would be great to be involved."
