Football News

Night of Champions is this Sunday and it is the night where ever WWE championship is put on the line, meaning we have been waiting for the announcements of who will be the challengers for the last few weeks.

Only with one match however did we know in advance who the challengers will be but not the champions.

Return to the big time

This Sunday will see the PPV return of one of the biggest WWE tag teams in history with the Dudley Boyz set to make their long awaited return.

It was confirmed last week that they would be challenging for the Tag team championships at Night of Champions, but the championships were actually in doubt.

The New Day - who won the titles at Summer Slam, had to put their titles on the line tonight against the former champions the Prime Time Players.

The match itself was pretty good as the New Day sported some new red ring gear, but by the end, only one team was confirmed for Night of Champions.

The New Day emerged victorious and will now progress to Night of Champions to take on the legendary team of Bubba Ray and D'von.

The only question is, will the New Day drop the Tag Team Titles just one month after winning them? Only time will tell.

Big guys collide

Ryback has certainly been a questionable Intercontinental Champion with him not really having a memorable feud.

However he does now look set for a rivalry which could serve as a true test of his title reign with arguably the most popular heel in WWE right now Kevin Owens.

Owens has seemingly been targeting Ryback in recent weeks and he is now set for a title shot on Sunday night.
