Euro 2008 hopefuls Finland and Spain played out a goalless stalemate in Wednesday´s international friendly at Helsinki´s Olympic Stadium.

Spain, who had made a host of changes to the side that beat Denmark, enjoyed the better of what few chances were created in Wednesday´s friendly, but they were unable to make the breakthrough.

Their best opportunities came in the second half, with veteran Finland goalkeeper Antti Niemi - starting his first international for three years - being called on to produce top-class saves to deny Mariano Pernia and Luis Garcia.
