England stunned by Russia

Football News
England´s hopes of reaching the Euro 2008 finals are out of their own hands after two second-half goals from substitute Roman Pavlyuchenko doomed them to defeat against Russia in Moscow.

England had led at half-time through Wayne Rooney´s volley and then Steven Gerrard missed a golden chance to double their lead early in the second half.

It proved costly as Pavlyuchenko netted twice in four minutes and now Russia will pip England if they defeat Israel and Andorra in their final two group games.
