West Ham have looked a fine outfit so far in the Premier League this season, despite a couple of setbacks at Upton Park against Leicester City and Bournemouth.

A closer analysis of the squad says that this season should give the Hammers fans something to be excited about.

West Ham have a very strong squad this season, by any Premier League teams standards, with skill, flair, and experience all over the pitch.

It appears to be impossible to pick a best 11, with the likes of Andy Carroll, who is able to bully defences, and Diafra Sakho, scorer of 12 goals in all competitions last season, both competing for a starting position.

The midfield has been boosted by the signing of ex-Arsenal and Barcelona man Alex Song, who will provide competition for West Ham academy graduate and captain Mark Noble, in addition to the Senegalese Cheikhou Kouyate, who has provided a threat from midfield, netting in the 2-0 win over Arsenal on the first day of the season.

Hammers looking to go out with a bang

There is no doubting that the Hammers have bought will in the transfer window, seeing the addition of players including Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus, and Frenchman Dimitri Payet from Marseille.

Both of these players have shown much quality and skill, providing West Ham with something they have lacked under recent seasons under Sam Allardyce.

West Ham fans have something to look forward to this season, and under Slaven Bilic's managment, they can be competing for a top-six finish with the squad they have.

As their last season at the Boleyn Ground, the Hammers will be looking to go out with a bang.
