Plain sailing for France - Domenech

Football News
France coach Raymond Domenech hailed the patience and professionalism of his players after a 6-0 Euro 2008 qualifying win over the Faroe Islands achieved just hours after completing a nightmare journey to the island archipelago.

France only arrived in the Faroes hours before the game after being forced to stay overnight in the Norwegian town of Bergen when their plane was unable to land because of bad weather.

Les Bleus had spent 12 hours in transit to Bergen - with another unscheduled stop in Aberdeen - and then had to be up early to get to Torshavn on time for the fixture.
