Hulk Hogan has always been a polarising figure in the WWE, but even fans who don’t like him might feel a pinch of sympathy at the manner in which he was let go by the organisation. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Hogan revealed that when he made Triple H aware that there were racial slurs on a tape released by TMZ, it took just half an hour for him to be told that he was leaving the company, and in the middle of the night. Apparently Vince McMahon didn’t speak to Hogan; he just told Triple H to inform the 62-year-old that he would have to resign - a task Triple H duly carried out. In other news, Roman Reigns could be in line to break CM Punk’s record of being the longest reigning WWE champion, with McMahon and co. seemingly desperate to see him succeed. It’s believed Reigns will become the new champion, and when he does he won’t be relinquishing the title any time soon - hard luck John Cena.
