According to reports, the storyline between Dolph Ziggler/Lana and Rusev/Summer Rae will be ended soon.

Dolph Ziggler and Rusev were supposed to compete in a mixed tag team match at Night of Champions alongside their respective partners listed above, but this all changed after what has happened recently.

Lana, unfortunately, suffered a fractured wrist while training for the upcoming match, meaning the clash had to be scrapped for something else. The result? Dolph Ziggler and Rusev will go one-on-one at the pay-per-view, but the feud overall has gone very stale very quickly.

This has resulted in drastic action to be scheduled by the WWE for when Lana returns in approximately four months time.

According to the Wrestling Observer, via Wrestling Inc, the current storyline with Rusev, Summer Rae, Dolph Ziggler and Lana will be ended, with Lana being put back with Rusev.

The belief is that both the Rusev and Lana characters ended up weaker when they were apart. It may be a while before the decision is made, but at least a correction has been achieved for the benefit of these Superstars.

Lana and Rusev bounced off each other well when they were together, but the WWE once again saw an opportunity for a love storyline and ran with it. Once again, it hasn't worked.

The only hope now is that it is Lana that makes the heel turn, and not Rusev making the face turn. Similar to Brock Lesnar, Rusev's brute size makes him a force to be reckoned with, and this is better utilized with him as a heel.
