Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has admitted that he's not a winger despite playing on the right-hand side for the Red Devils.
Speaking to the club's official website, the talented playmaker, who enjoyed a wonderful couple of years plying his trade for Chelsea in the No.10 role, has insisted that he enjoys playing out wide for United.
Mata has been an integral member of Louis van Gaal's team so far this season and was handed the opportunity to shine behind the striker in the club's last outing.

However, despite impressing at times during the club's Champions League defeat to PSV on Tuesday, it's far from certain as to whether the Spanish international will continue to operate in a central position for the long-term.
Mata appears to be content with a role on the right-hand side, however, as he stated: "I’ve really enjoyed it. Obviously I am not a winger, if you imagine an old-school winger who is trying to play one-against-one and to cross the ball. I try to find my spaces from the right and cut inside and in behind, and try to assist my team-mates.
"I really enjoy it there. I think it’s very important for us to create little triangles on the wings with myself and Matteo [Darmian] and then with the midfield. That’s what the manager wants and we can play inside and outside. It’s good for us to be able to create chances for the striker."
LVG must get it right
Mata is one of the most technically gifted players in the Premier League and Manchester United should hand him a place behind either Wayne Rooney or Anthony Martial.
The Spaniard has the class to unlock defences from the centre of the pitch, so the Red Devils chief should look to change the dynamics of his attack. Ultimately, despite enduring a tricky night on Tuesday, the Red Devils looked far more balanced when on the attack.
With Mata playing at No. 10, the likes of Ashley Young and Memphis Depay will be able to utilise their pace on the wings. United must find a balance to their play sooner rather than later.
