Jose Mourinho has full faith Eden Hazard will rediscover the form that led him to the PFA Player of the Year award last season.

The Belgian endured another tough night in midweek as he missed a penalty in Chelsea's 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Hazard has been below his usual standards so far this season and is yet to open his goalscoring account; he also only has one assist to his name.

However, Mourinho, speaking to the press before tomorrow's crunch clash with Arsenal, says he is still the best player in England.

The Portuguese manager also ensured the media he will still be taking penalties, despite blazing his effort high over the crossbar.

"He’s still the best player in England. He’s the best player playing in this country." Mourinho said, as per the Mirror.

"It’s not before a bad performance or penalty lost or not scoring goals for three weeks. He is the best. He’ll be the best again. One of these days, he’s the man of the match.

"As for his penalty, maybe it was an agreement with some sponsor to promote the Rugby World Cup."

The defending champions sit 11 points behind early leaders Manchester City, and a win in the London derby is vital for any hopes they have of making up ground on the Etihad club.

Mourinho boasts an impressive record over Arsene Wenger and will be hoping his first defeat to the French boss, the 1-0 loss in the Community Shield, will have no effect on proceedings tomorrow.
