Heiko Weber is set to take charge of Energie Cottbus for their Bundesliga clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday after interim coach Thomas Hossmang left the club.

Hossmang was the assistant to former coach Petrik Sander, who was sacked on Sunday, and, despite initially accepting the position, has now had a change of heart.

His departure has forced the club to promote Weber, who was the coach of the Under-23 side, into the top job for the daunting trip to leaders Bayern.
