Segunda Liga champions Real Valladolid pushed reigning Primera Liga champions Real Madrid to the limit at the Estadio Jose Zorila as they captured a 1-1 draw.

A sensational second-half strike from Pedro Lopez put the hosts into a deserved lead which they held until Madrid substitute Javier Saviola equalised three minutes from time despite Valladolid´s protestations that three Madrid players were offside.

Madrid stay top of the table with 10 points while Valladolid are now eighth.
