Ramos: Messi was deciding factor

Sevilla coach Juande Ramos felt only the individual brilliance of Barcelona ace Lionel Messi prevented his side from claiming at least a point from their trip to the Nou Camp.

Ramos believes his men were holding their own against the Catalan giants and were on course for a decent result until Messi popped up with two goals in seven minutes towards the end of the match.

Ramos said after the game: "At a collective level we have worked well, we had the game under control, but the quality of the Barcelona player tilted the game in their favour. We knew all about Messi and the Barcelona players, and we knew we could not lose concentration. The team has been good, controlled the situation, but the goal from Barcelona smashed all those plans."
