Leicester have been on red hot form and are unbeaten so far this season in all competitions who was expecting that?

They were 2-0 down within twenty minutes to Stoke at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday afternoon but bounced back in the second half with goals from star players, Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy.

Leicester have become the comeback kings in recent weeks; coming back from 2-0 down again in the previous week against Aston Villa to win the game 3-2 and also snatched a late equaliser against Tottenham to earn themselves a point.

How long can they stay unbeaten?

Claudio Ranieri would have been pleasantly surprised with the magnificent start his team have had this season. With six games played, Leicester have won three and drawn three and are the only team not to lose so far in the Premier League – (after Man City’s winning run came to an abrupt end against West Ham).

Leicester are playing some excellent football and are not only gaining points but fans too, along their magnificent run. Their team is packed with pace and attacking flair and their high pressing and counter-attacking tactics are always a joy to watch.

They were in a relegation scrap last season under the management of Nigel Pearson and pulled off the great escape, picking up 22 points from their last ten games. They showed a real fight and determination and stuck together as a team, digging deep to pick up wins against the odds even when up against superior opponents.

They have carried on the form which got them out of trouble last season and are now sitting third in the Premier League. They have great strength in character and never know when they are beaten, continuing to come back from losing positions to pick up points.

Riyad Mahrez is in incredible form and has been attracting the attention of Europe’s elite, with Arsenal reportedly making a move for the young Algerian international.

Mahrez has bagged himself five goals in six games this season and has provided the spark in the team. With his close control, mazy runs and excellent finishing, Mahrez’s style of play has been linked with that of Lionel Messi, which is great praise indeed.

He certainly has the pace and skill to worry the best defenders and if he can continue this type of form, he will be a real contender for the PFA, Player of the Season award.

Leicester are creating shockwaves in the Premier League at the moment and continue to stun team after team with their exciting, attacking brand of football.

They have had a fantastic start and still unbeaten after six games, could they match Arsenal’s 2003/04 ‘Invincibles’ season?

This looks highly unlikely and almost impossible in the Premier League nowadays. However, nothing is impossible for this Leicester team.

If they continue to fight like they have been, and Mahrez can keep performing at the level he is at the moment, the sky’s the limit and a top ten finish and possibly a Europa league place could be on the cards!
