Alessandro Nesta saved AC Milan´s blushes with a last-ditch strike against Siena on Saturday evening as they drew 1-1.

Massimo Maccarone´s 24th-minute goal after a blunder by Dida seemed certain to have earned Siena all three points and coach Andrea Mandorlini his first Serie A win in 17 games, but Nesta struck one minute into stoppage time to earn the visitors a point.

Clarence Seedorf almost won it for Milan deep into stoppage time, but his shot hit the woodwork at the end of a dramatic game which also saw Siena midfielder Mario Frick sent off.
