Football News
Former France defender Vincent Candela has quit playing at the age of 33.

Candela was a member of the France squad that won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 although his first team opportunities were limited as he was understudy to first-choice left-back Bixente Lizarazu.

Candela told L´Equipe: "There is a time for everything and I have done my time. Eighteen years as a pro is good even if the last three were less good."
