WWE have three superstars in mind to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32

In recent years, when you mention The Undertaker and a potential WrestleMania opponent, you immediately hope for Sting to be the man facing him across the ring.

It’s no secret that both legends are coming towards the end of their careers, and their fans are still living in hope that the two manage to face off at WrestleMania.

WrestleMania 32 is set to be the biggest yet, so you’d assume the WWE would go all out and finally have The Deadman take on The Icon.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, are reporting that the WWE have three names in mind for The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 – none of which is Sting.

The first Superstar the WWE are considering is current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins.

Rollins is currently on course to defend his championship against Kane at Hell in a Cell, a match he is expected to win.

There is a chance Kane could play a potential role in this match being set up, but it does seem a little early to confirm this match.

I believe Rollins would be a fantastic choice, mainly because he can help the match be so much better than any other opponent.

His character fits in so well with the match too. He would be someone who wants to match Brock Lesnar’s achievement and will also want to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

It wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Rollins take on The Undertaker, it’s another attempt at Rollins trying to prove he is the best and will want to wipe out his legacy much like he attempted with Sting.

Surprisingly, Cena and The Undertaker have never faced off at WrestleMania.

In fact, the last time they met in the ring Cena was still performing under the ‘Doctor of Thuganomics’ gimmick so it’s definitely been a while.

Whilst the two have enjoyed tremendous success, they’ve managed to avoid one another, so in a sense it’s definitely a dream match.

If the WWE pull the trigger on this then there’s no better setting that WrestleMania 32, considering it’s set to be the biggest ever.

Perhaps the most iconic superstar in The Undertaker, going up against the face of the company for the last decade, it’s definitely a WrestleMania clash that needs to happen.

I can see it happening. It’s the safe option as Cena draws numbers and it will be a must-see match.

This one is the real surprise.

Braun Strowman did next to nothing on NXT television. He went from the live events to jumping on the main roster and aligning himself with The Wyatt Family.

He’s taken out Roman Reigns, he’s taken out Dean Ambrose and he made a returning Chris Jericho pass out at Night of Champions.

Those are some pretty big achievements for somebody who is new on the scene.

Kane and The Undertaker as set reunite as The Brothers of Destruction in the upcoming tour of Mexico, where they are set to take on Luke Harper and Strowman.

This already allows the WWE to see how Strowman and The Undertaker could work together, and I believe those matches will be a decisive factor in any decision making.

It’s definitely a massive risk. Nobody would have expected Strowman to bag himself a match with The Deadman in his first WrestleMania.

It does show the faith the WWE has in Strowman, with many predicting he would be irrelevant within months.

All three are interesting options. They all bring their positives and their negatives. I think Rollins would bring the best match, Cena would draw the numbers whilst Strowman would be something fans simply want to witness.

Let’s wait and see which of these plans begin to unfold in the coming months. For now The Undertaker must focus on Brock Lesnar at Hell in a Cell.
