Lyon back to winning ways

Lyon´s stuttering start to the new Ligue 1 season finally took a turn for the better on Sunday as Alain Perrin´s side beat arch-rivals St Etienne.

The six-time defending champions had lost two of their opening three games but they returned to winning ways thanks to Karim Benzema´s 54th-minute strike in the Rhone derby game.

The misery continues for Paris St Germain, however, as the capital club have yet to win this season and failed to break their duck in a 1-1 draw with Lille.
