Raul keeping feet on ground

Real Madrid captain Raul refused to get carried away with his side´s opening-day derby win over Atletico Madrid, insisting there is still plenty more to come from the reigning champions.

Real could hardly have suffered a worse start to their title defence, conceding a goal inside the first minute to Atletico striker Sergio Aguero before the home side hit back through a Raul header before Wesley Sneijder - one of eight summer signings by Real - drove home the winner to secure a 2-1 triumph.

Raul said: "I am very satisfied and happy. It was a very intense match and this is the road we have to continue on. Although we felt comfortable, we have to give a lot more. This is what we have to do, continue down this path, continue being positive and optimistic."
