Ajax in the goals again

Ajax had to settle for a mere four goals on Sunday as they blitzed Heerenveen 4-1 to maintain a breathtaking pace at the top of the Eredivisie.

The Amsterdam club kicked off the season last weekend with an 8-1 thrashing of newcomers De Graafschap. On Sunday they managed four at the Amsterdam ArenA although their former Heerenveen striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who scored four against De Graafschap, failed to hit the mark.

Heerenveen took the lead through Miralem Sulejmani before goals just before the break from Luis Suarez and Thomas Vermaelen put Ajax ahead. After the break substitute Robert Schilder and Suarez again added goals.
