Ranieri irked by players´ duties

Juventus manager Claudio Ranieri has bemoaned the timing of the recent round of international fixtures as he prepares his side for a return to Serie A.

The Bianconeri will face Livorno in Turin on Saturday evening but their preparations have been disrupted due to the absence of a number of players for the midweek friendlies and Euro 2008 qualifiers.

Ranieri said: "At this point to not have nine international players available is discouraging. Preparations for a return to the Serie A with the whole squad available would be better."
