Valenciennes president Francis Decourriere was delighted to have finally got his man after seeing Filip Sebo complete his loan move to the Ligue 1 side.

Sebo, a 23-year-old striker, left Rangers on Wednesday after penning a season-long loan deal with the northerners, who have the option of making the transfer permanent.

Decourriere said: "We were after him last year. But financially we were not able to fight with Rangers where (then coach) Paul Le Guen persuaded him to go."
