Palop called up to replace Casillas

Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas has pulled out of the squad for Wednesday´s friendly with European champions Greece in Athens.

Spain team doctor Genaro Borras decided that the 26-year-old Real Madrid custodian would not be fit to play in the Greek capital although he is expected to be fit for this weekend´s start to the Primera Liga season when Real face city rivals Atletico Madrid in the derby match.

Spain coach Luis Aragones has called up a replacement in 33-year-old Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop, who has never before played for the national team.
