Antonio Cassano claimed he will use his loan move to Sampdoria to get back in the Italy team and rekindle a once stellar career that has gone into freefall.

Cassano, 25, joined Samp on loan from Real Madrid in midweek and was unveiled by the Genoa-based club on Saturday. The striker, who has often refused to apologise for his outbursts, admitted on Saturday that he had made mistakes.

In remarks from his presentation press conference reported on, Cassano said: "I want to do well here and I want to respect the rules. I feel the staff here are well prepared and that I can work well with them. So why would I create problems?"
