France coach Raymond Domenech insisted he had no qualms about picking Serie A players Philippe Mexes and David Trezeguet in his 34-man squad for next week´s away friendlies against Slovakia and Slovakia ´A´.

Roma centre-half Mexes and Juventus striker Trezeguet have recently criticised their national-team boss for his allegations of match-fixing in Italian football.

But they nonetheless found themselves in Domenech´s enlarged party for the trip to Slovakia and the France boss said: "I have selected them because my goal is for the France team to qualify (for Euro 2008) and they have the potential to make this happen. If it is necessary to talk to them, I will do it when the time comes, like professionals and reasonable people."
