Marseille will be under pressure to claim all three points when Ligue 1 sees midweek action for the first time this week.

After all the hype of pre-season, one of the favourites to capture the title have struggled in their opening two games. OM have failed to live up to the challenge of being champion Lyon´s biggest league rivals so far and their coach Albert Emon will be feeling the heat when last year´s runners-up travel to Valenciennes on Wednesday.

"We let points slip and that´s always irritating," said midfielder Lorik Cana. "We lost ground. It´s the start of the season and it´s best to collect as many points as possible as quickly as possible to avoid having to play catch-up later in the season."
