Late goal condemns Lyon to defeat

Football News
Defending French champions Lyon suffered an early blow to their title aspirations when a last-gasp Johan Elmander strike sent them to a 1-0 defeat at Toulouse on Saturday.

Alain Perrin´s team looked like they were going to survive the first-half sending-off of Kim Kallstrom - for foul and abusive language - when Elmander struck late on, the Sweden striker pouncing on Achille Emana´s short pass and stroking home from close range.

Both sides hit the woodwork in an entertaining second half but Lyon, aiming for a seventh consecutive Ligue 1 title, were left to rue Kallstrom´s indiscretion.
