Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Rooney did all the work for Ronaldo at United

He’s known for being a polarising character in the world of football, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s latest comments probably won’t be backed by many supporters. The big Swede has claimed that when Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were playing together at Manchester United it was the former who had done all the work, with the latter getting the headlines because he scored more goals. In an interview to be used in a BBC documentary about Rooney, Ibrahimovic made the comments, and they’re sure to split opinion given how popular Ronaldo was at Old Trafford. Elsewhere Victor Valdes’ situation continues to worsen, with it now said that Louis van Gaal has made him train at different times to his teammates. The Daily Mirror say the Spaniard’s attempts to make peace with his manager have failed - perhaps a move to Liverpool or Chelsea isn’t so impossible after all.
