Coleman braced for City swoop

Real Sociedad coach Chris Coleman admits it would be a blow to lose defender Javi Garrido, but insists any transfer money will not go to waste.

Spanish media have suggested the 22-year-old left-back could be manager Sven-Goran Eriksson´s next capture in a deal which it is claimed could earn Sociedad up to three million euros (£2million).

"Whatever the amount is, we will try to use it well. We cannot make mistakes in the transfer market, nor spend money that we do not have," said the Welshman, who would be sorry to see Garrido go.
