Juan Mata better than Mesut Ozil according to Manchester United fans

Manchester United fans have hailed Spain international Juan Mata following his fine display against Wolfsburg in the Champions League last night.

The former Chelsea player was involved in both goals as the Red Devils secured their first win in Group B.

After Wolfsburg took an early lead at Old Trafford, Mata equalised from the penalty spot for Louis van Gaal's side. The 27-year-old then produced a wonderful flick to set up Chris Smalling, who slotted home the eventual winner from inside the area.

On top of that, the dynamic playmaker picked up the man of the match award, with attentions now turning to this weekend's Premier League showdown with rivals Arsenal.

Mata may well have produced the goods on the European stage, but Gunners star Mesut Ozil flopped the previous night as Arsene Wenger's side suffered a defeat to Olympiacos on home soil.

Both players will no doubt be hoping to hit top form on Sunday, with United fans seemingly confident that their playmaker will overshadow Arsenal's German ace.

Mata form

United fans are right to be praising Mata right now. He's proving his class week in, week out for the Red Devils and continues to shine despite often playing out on the right-hand side. With wonderful vision, creativity and an eye for goal, United's No.8 is a constant threat to the opposition.

Ozil, on the other hand, has had a steady start to the campaign. Let's be honest, he failed to really prove his credentials against Olympiacos, but he enjoyed a fine outing against Leicester City last weekend. Right now, though, it's Mata who is delivering on a consistent basis.
