Football News
Werder Bremen have confirmed the signing of Boubacar Sanogo from Bundesliga rivals Hamburg.

The Ivory Coast striker bagged just four goals in 31 appearances during an unhappy first season with Hamburg last season, but nevertheless did enough to impress Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf, who on Tuesday signed the 24-year-old to a four-year deal.

The hitman joined Hamburg from fellow German outfit Kaiserslautern in the summer of 2006, but suffered a torrid year at the HSH Nordbank Arena, where he was booed by his own fans.
