Santi Cazorla wanted Tottenham Hotspur move before Arsenal switch - Redknapp

Santi Cazorla is many things, fortunately for Arsenal being a Tottenham player isn’t one of them. However, that’s not to say he didn’t have the chance to become just that, with former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp having claimed that the diminutive midfielder almost moved to White Hart Lane long before he signed for the Gunners. Redknapp told how Cazorla impressed in a friendly against Tottenham in 2010, and was happy to join Spurs, before a breakdown in talks put paid to the move. What might have been. Elsewhere, it’s said that Mathieu Debuchy is ready to consider his long-term Arsenal future in January having lost his first-team spot to Hector Bellerin. The Frenchman is supposedly worried over his chances of making France’s international squad for next year’s European Championships, and so may well move on to find game-time.
