Mid-way through the Chicago Bears' week four encounter with the Oakland Raiders this afternoon, Matt Forte has already surpassed 100 yards combined.
The pass-catching running back has once again proven his key role in the Bears' offense as the team searches for their first win of the 2015 NFL season.
Open to offers
But, with the team rumored to be on the verge of a fire sale, there is a growing suspicion that Forte could be playing his way towards a trade as one of the Soldier Field franchise's most valuable assets. And now, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport has confirmed that the star man is among those whom Chicago would listen be willing to offload moving forward.

Writing on NFL.com, Rapoport noted that Forte would be available should a team come in with the "right offer" in the coming weeks.
However, it isn't only the veteran RB that could be on his way out of Chicago. In the same report, Rapoport noted that one rival General Manager had effectively been told, 'Don't be afraid to ask' about any player.
Prize asset
Forte is in the final year of his contract in Chicago but remains an elite option in the backfield.
If Chicago truly wants to overhaul their roster sooner rather than later, then he, alongside wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey, would be the player capable of attracting the most in return.
Still, if he were to be traded, it would come as a blow to Chicago fans who are still clinging to hopes of a respectable 2015 season.
