Roux given Lens green light

Football News
Guy Roux appears to be free to coach Ligue 1 side Lens this season after having his contract officially recognised by the French League (LFP).

The LFP ruled last month that the 68-year-old, appointed by Le Sang et Or earlier in June, would not be able to act as the club´s head coach because he is over the age limit of 65.

But Roux has since battled hard to overturn the ruling, claiming it was "illegal", and on Wednesday, the French Olympic committee (CNOSF) backed Roux´s appeal before it was ratified by the LFP 24 hours later.
