Michael Bennett dislikes Matthew Stafford for the weirdest reason

Football News

The Seattle Seahawks beat the Detroit Lions in controversial fashion last night after officials missed a blatant penalty on the Seahawks in the dying moments of the game.

Michael Bennett grabbed the headlines after the game when he interrupted game-winner Kam Chancellor's post-match interview to call out Seahawks owner Paul Allen and told him to pay Chancellor after the safety's holdout.

That wasn't the end of Bennett's interesting night, as he then went on to say that he dislikes Matt Stafford for the weirdest reason ever.

Stafford Hater

After the hard fought win over the Detroit Lions, Bennett shared that he isn't the biggest fan of Lions quarterback Stafford.

“I don’t like Matt Stafford that much,” Bennett said, according to Curtis Crabtree of KJR and ProFootballTalk. And the defensive lineman gave the odd reason for his feeling.

JFK Pain?

“He’s from Dallas and Dallas, they killed the President,” Bennett said. “It’s where JFK, one of the greatest Presidents, died at so I just have a little hatred towards him.”

Two weeks ago, Michael’s brother, Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett, scoffed at the notion that they’re crazy by explaining that he and Michael are normal and that everyone else is crazy.

Something tells me that Martellus might be wrong.
