Jurgen Klopp is preparing for life as Liverpool manager by lining up a series of meetings with the current squad’s representatives for next week.

This is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that the German coach already has a “packed timetable” for his full first week at Anfield.

Klopp is expected to be announced as Brendan Rodgers’ successor later today, with the 48-year-old poised to put pen to paper on a three-year contract.

Many of Liverpool’s first-team players are currently away on international duty, but Klopp is acutely aware of the importance of establishing healthy relationships with the agents who represent the Reds’ senior stars.

All of the meetings will be informal and will provide Klopp with the chance to introduce himself to the people who represent the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson.

Liverpool fans can't wait for Klopp's arrival

The report adds that Klopp’s lawyer Marc Kosicke has also arranged meetings for this weekend as the details about his client’s specific role at Anfield are finalised.

There is huge buzz on Merseyside after news broke of Klopp’s imminent arrival earlier this week.

Widely regarded as one of the most impressive young coaches on the continent, the acquisition of Klopp is a major coup for Liverpool, who believe the former BVB boss can guide the club back into the Champions League.

Klopp will take charge of Liverpool for the first time against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on October 17.
