Matt Barnes denies driving home to fight New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher

Yesterday we relayed the news that Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes had supposedly attacked New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher, after the latter met with the former’s wife. Well, we’ve got more on that story, with Barnes having clarified that he simply paid a visit to the house where Fisher and Gloria Govan were because he was worried his children were uncomfortable. Barnes didn’t go as far giving details of the ensuing altercation, and said he couldn’t believe people thought he had driven over to beat someone up. In the NFL meanwhile, Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien might be ready to make another in-season quarterback change. The Texans’ campaign has started off poorly and, following the loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Brien confirmed quarterback Ryan Mallett isn’t guaranteed to start the next match. Mallet was swapped for Brian Hoyer mid-Colts game after suffering an injury.
