Lauth surplus to requirements

Benjamin Lauth has been told by Hamburg coach Huub Stevens to find a new club.

The former 1860 Munich striker, 25, who spent the second half of last term on loan at Bundesliga champions Stuttgart, returned to northern Germany last month only to learn he had fallen to fifth in the attacking pecking order.

Now, with pre-season training a month away Stevens is adamant there is no room at the AOL Arena for the 4.2million signing, saying: "We have (Boubacar) Sanogo, (Jose Paolo) Guerrero, (Ivica) Olic and (Mohamed) Zidan and we don´t really need Lauth.
