Kenneth Perez has confirmed he wants to quit Ajax in a bid to find regular first-team football.

The former Denmark striker impressed in his first season in Amsterdam, netting 12 goals, but has subsequently been told he does not figure in the long-term plans of coach Henk ten Cate.

Perez told AD Sportwereld: "Everyone can see that my situation is hopeless. The coach told me that I am not part of his football vision. That´s why I am open for a transfer. I am grateful to Ajax for giving me this chance and I hope that the club will now grant me a transfer."
