Egypt striker Mohamed Zidan is ready to repay Hamburg´s faith in him after completing a move from Mainz.

During a second spell with Mainz last season, the 25-year-old netted 13 times in only 15 games. That was not enough to save the club from relegation but it did bring him to the attention of Hamburg, who snapped him up for £3.4 million.

And Zidan intends to repay his new club with goals, saying: "My goals can take HSV back up to the top. I am really looking forward to joining HSV, which is one of the biggest clubs in Germany in my eyes."
