The preliminary reports regarding Jamaal Charles’ injury for the Kansas City Chiefs are in and they don’t spell good news for the franchise at all. Early indications are that the running back suffered a torn ACL during the defeat to the Chicago Bears yesterday, with that likely to rule him out for a long time. Charles was expected to undergo a proper MRI today to determine the full extent of the injury, but we haven’t got word on the outcome of that just yet. In any case, it’s a blow to the Chiefs, who have lost their last four games. Meanwhile in the NBA there’s even more injury news, with James Harden having left the Houston Rockets’ clash with the Orlando Magic with a knee injury. The pre-season fixture saw Harden withdrawn from the action, and that will certainly pose issues for the Rockets, who, of course, rely on Harden as their main driving force.
