Sting update

It’s been almost a month since Sting suffered a serious neck injury at Night of Champions, but the situation is still problematic.

At least that’s what the man himself said in a recent Q&A, where he claimed that doctors are still telling him that he is far from healed, despite the fact that he feels OK in general.

The bottom line was that they’re no further down the line to offering a potential return date, but it looks as though it will be some time yet before Sting is seen in a WWE ring again.

"I feel great, I feel normal, however the MRI’s are showing things and the Doctors I’m speaking to are telling me I’m not great. Basically It’s my neck and I’ll have to get it dealt with," Sting said.

Cena's sabbatical

Elsewhere, in somewhat more positive news, John Cena isn’t taking time off for anything serious, according to reports.

Apparently there were concerns backstage over just why Cena is to take his upcoming short sabbatical, but when other wrestlers have asked the man himself, he’s told them that he’s fine.

That’s good news for Cena’s long-term future. The fact remains that he’s arguably the company’s biggest star; losing him could be a death knell of sorts for Vince McMahon.

Del Rio return on the cards?

And lastly, the WWE are extremely interested in bringing back Alberto Del Rio to the organisation having failed to convince Carlito to return.

It’s said the powers that be want another Hispanic star in the fold and Del Rio certainly fits the bill. Reports now state that the WWE might reach out for contract talks soon.
