Football News

Arsenal fans, we’d like to firstly extend a very warm welcome.

If you’ve reached this far then you’re obviously looking to be fed the biggest headlines on one GMS-sized platter.

You’re in luck. Below we’ve collected the most intriguing stories to be found on the Gunners. What do you know, it’s also in video format above. Enjoy.

Bellerin and Sagna

Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin has enjoyed something of a meteoric rise to stardom given that in the not too distant past he was an unheralded entity at the Emirates Stadium.

The man Gunners fans have to thank? Bacary Sagna.

We’re not making it up, Bellerin has revealed how Sagna was a mentor and role model when he first arrived at the club, indicating that it was the Frenchman who had helped him to settle.

"Also when I arrived at Arsenal, there was Sagna. He was an incredible mentor who always gives the team a lot," Bellerin told Marca - as relayed by Sport Witness.

Sagna left a bitter taste in the mouths of Gunners fans when he left for Manchester City last year, but it appears his legacy is taking shape in the form of Bellerin.

Monreal's new deal

In team news, Nacho Monreal has agreed to a new three-year deal with Arsenal, according to reports.

It’s believed the Spanish full-back might well be getting a pay rise on his £50,000-a-week wages, but at the moment it’s merely at the point of speculation so don’t it as the gospel truth.

Bazoer interest

Meanwhile, Arsenal are growing increasingly keen to secure the services of rising Ajax star Riechedly Bazoer - try saying that in a hurry.

New claims indicate that the 19-year-old is wanted by Wenger, who will renew his efforts to land the midfielder having failed in the past.
