Dieumerci Mbokani has turned down the offer of a new four-year deal with Anderlecht in the hope of clinching a move to their Jupiler League rivals Standard Liege.

The 21-year-old Congolese striker, who has reached the end of his contract with the Brussels club, has struggled to break into Anderlecht´s starting XI in the face of competition from Nicolas Frutos and Mohamed Tchite.

Mbokani told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad: "My heart told me to join Standard. Anderlecht did not treat me right. I had the right to get an apartment and a car, but I never got that."
