Manchester United fed up with Memphis Depay according to Youri Mulder

Manchester United are starting to get 'fed up' with summer signing Memphis Depay, according to former Netherlands striker Youri Mulder.

As reported by the Evening Standard, Mulder claims that the 21-year-old has only played one good game for the Red Devils this season.

Depay completed a high-profile move to Old Trafford in the summer but has failed to hit top form on English soil so far.

In fact, the versatile forward has also been unable to produce the goods for the national side, enduring a torrid time throughout the Netherlands' dismal European Championship qualifying campaign.

Mulder certainly hasn't been impressed with the former PSV man, as he stated: "He played one good match for United, against Club Brugge [in the Champions League].

"It seems that people at Manchester United are starting to get fed up with this."

Perhaps, though, the criticism directed towards Depay is harsh at this stage. After a big money transfer, it's easy to forget that he's only 21-years-old.

He clearly has the physique to adapt to the Premier League, but the demands of the English game are completely different to what he has been used to.

Depay has all the attributes to succeed in Manchester; with power, creativity and an eye for goal, he can become one of the most feared forwards in the game. It's crucial, however, that he's given time to prove his credentials.

Louis van Gaal and Co. at Old Trafford will be well aware that he's not the finished article, but will know that he has the potential to become a leading player in Europe.

Do you agree? Is the criticism towards Depay unfair? Have your say below!
